10 Friends is Martin McKenna’s lifelong project to photograph ten of his friends, at home, once every ten years, beginning this summer. Photographing of the participants has already begun, and is being accompanied by a recording of each person describing their life right now for comparison later.
This blog is documenting the progress of the project, inspiration from other photographer’s work, and the creative decisions being taken along the way. Publication of the 2010 session of the project, in a form yet to be decided, will hopefully happen sometime in late summer autumn or winter 2010 spring 2011.
Martin McKenna graduated from Kulturama’s one-year photography course in 2006 and now studies biochemistry as well as occasionally freelancing for various clients. You can read more on Martin’s Flickr profile page.
